Overview

Code for America is a national nonprofit organization focused on solving community problems through technology with the help of a diverse group of volunteers. The organization has hundreds of brigades across the United States, committed to helping their local community through the use of technology. Our client, John Weatherford, came to us and asked for our help to create a brand new Code for America brigade in the Athens area. As the lead developer of this project, I was in charge of creating an official Code for Athens website. The site was created on WordPress, and features a fun visual experience through the use of actual drone footage shot in the downtown Athens area.

In addition to the official Code for Athens website, I also created our team’s project website to showcase all of the milestones we accomplished throughout this semester as well as the final products. This website was created using a Bootstrap template along with some customizable JavaScript and CSS that I coded on my own.
